The Canary Effect
a -The Canary Effect- in Portland, OR on December 07 hosting review
The responses I recieved about what people learned from this film was great. It helped with educating people in the A&D and mental health programs gain a deeper understanding of Native peoples historical trauma and impacts on todays genertions.

Questions for the host:

Q: Why did you host this screening? What were your goals?
A: To educate the public and the Native people who don't really know about the history and the impact it has on Native peoples today.

Q: Any additional materials you could have used?
A: This screening targeted a certain audience, but maybe a few large posters to display.

Q: Any ideas on how you can use "-The Canary Effect-" in the future?
A: I am using it for a specific purpose and will prboably use it for educating purposes mainly. Especially definition of Genocide. Many people really didn't understand how that realted to the Native Peoples traumatic history and the US governments role in these policies against Natives.

Q: Any advice for future screening hosts?
A: I guess double checking RSVP list for those who forgot they reserved a seat and didn't show and let them know to cancel in time for someone else to participate.

Q: Would you do it again for another film?
A: YES
